‘posters for peace’ expo soon in Iran-US

The international ‘20X20, posters for peace’ exhibition will be inaugurated simultaneously in Iran and the US, on September 7, 2017.

Showcasing works by graphic designers from two nations, Iran’s Qasr (palace) garden-museum in the capital Tehran and Stillwater in the US state of Oklahoma will be hosting the event.

The display will feature 20 posters created by Iranian international graphic designers and twenty crafted by their American counterparts.

In a statement, the participating artists pointed out social responsibility and critiquing for an improved social life worldwide, among the goals set for the artistic move.

The expo is initiated by Iran’s Passage art group (represented by Zahra Pashaei) and Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Oklahoma State University, Pouya Jahanshahi.

The undertaking has been titled “ 20 x 20 Posters For Peace” in recognition of the United Nations Day for Peace, Sept. 21, 2017.

Jahanshahi says he believes that the exhibit will bring to the American viewers an understanding of Iran and its people.

The expo will open on September 7 and wrap up on September 21, 2017.
